Goals and values

EMBUDEO is aiming to support long community improvements in relation to its mission for the next 15 years. However, there will be short terms goals, addressed according to strategic and work plan reviews, in order to measure the real impact. The goal is to enable our target groups to participate in productive activities, environmentally, socially and economically. The ultimate aims are to eradicate the community drawback on the following life interventions:

The educational needs of the disadvantaged (Pastoralists) communities are not taken into account by the current education policies in Tanzania.
Lack of monitoring on school’s enrolment has affected mostly girls (early pregnancy/ marriage) in vulnerable communities.
reunionprojetmasai
Lack of equal distribution of educators (teachers) and other necessary teaching materials at most peripheral schools.
A high level of illiteracy has led to poverty, discrimination, poor participation in social economic and political affairs.
An increased amount of schools dropout has created unemployment, what prevents from maintaining sustainable livelihood and development.
Lack of enough healthy work force and facilities in comparison with the big number of women and children requirements.
Lack of health education on most peripheral areas in the district.
An even sharing of natural resources (increased demand of livestock keepers, agricultural expansion and investors) has led to land disputes between the local tribes and the land investors worldwide (National parks, Game controlled area, Thomson, OBC Arabian private companies). All this has led to injustices, violence, social, economic and political discrimination against the entire community of pastoralists.
Lack of villages land registration and allocation of land has led villages to destroy natural resources and water sources for agriculture and livestock keeping.
Lack of representation in decision-making process hinders the speakers to argue correctly, when they talk on behalf of voiceless groups.
Climate change and unreliable preparations has led to food insecurity and has a great impact on the well-being of the most vulnerable group such as children, women, widows, the elderly, disabled and, people living with HIV/AIDS.
Poor communication infrastructure (roads) at all villages at Ngorongoro district, which hinders the sustainable district development at large.
